Of the making of books there is no end. And sometimes you wonder if the same could be said about the making of study/application Bibles with all their different slants. Is there one for left-handed cessationist business consultants?
Seriously though, another one has appeared off the presses since the summer. It’s a further edition of the ESV and it’s called the Gospel Transformation Bible.
Here’s the tagline:
Christ in all of Scripture, Grace for all of Life.
Do we need another study/application Bible?
Perhaps not. Especially if we allow those we already have to gather dust. But if the GTB provides fresh impetus to Bible readers, and its footnotes help those readers to see Christ in all of Scripture, then it will serve a purpose.
