Four kinds of people who don’t really need the Bible

Here are four kinds of people who don’t really need the Bible. It’s actually a back-to-front look at the four specific uses of Scripture that Paul writes about in 2 Timothy 3:16.

  1. People who have nothing more to learn – so Scripture’s function of ‘teaching’ is not needed.
  2. People who have nothing to repent of – so Scripture’s function of ‘reproof’ is not needed.
  3. People who have nothing to change – so they don’t need Scripture’s ‘correction’.
  4. People who don’t need to grow – no need for help to grow in righteousness.
