If I speak with great eloquence of the doctrines of grace, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
And if I understand the finer points of eschatology, and soteriology, and if my theological brain is so finely tuned that I can settle all arguments, but have not love, I am nothing.
If I spend all my money in training a new generation of theologians, and if I burn out with zeal for my theological position, but have not love, I gain nothing.
